Our Story
Opened in March 2021. The idea to start a museum was started by a group of Model Railroad enthusiasts with a mission to preserve the history of American railroading in Utah through model railroad landscapes and HO scale model trains.
Supported by the Hostlers Model Railroad Club, the
Development of this new model train museum located in the Ogden Newgate Mall. The museum has selected a board of officers to develop and manage the museum. A permanent themed HO layout is currently being constructed . Hostler club members have been taking shifts running trains and answering questions for the entertainment of mall shoppers, visitors….and themselves of course. Admission is free.

Envisioning a brand new model railroad museum in a mall is one thing; convincing others to help and then build a 36' x 16' main exhibit is quite another.
